OnePlus has announced that its inaugural Android tablet is now available to order – sort of. The first-gen ReadFit Display slate is in fact now up for a “Blind Sale” event, during which the potential buyer can make a deposit on the device from today (April 10, 2023) to unlock “free gifts” such as a free detachable keyboard. Then again, OnePlus is still keeping some important information on the Pad in reserve for now.

OnePlus has now confirmed more details on its inaugural Pad, such as that it will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, and come in just 1 Halo Green color, worldwide. However, the OEM has yet to reveal how much that single SKU will cost, preferring to announce its initial Blind Sale instead today (April 10, 2023).

It has been declared open in Europe and North America thus far, with a corresponding early-bird event in India to follow. As the name suggests, interested consumers are now invited to make a €99/US$99/CA$99 deposit on the tablet rather than order it up-front as usual.

This stage in the OnePlus Pad ownership process can be completed until April 25, 2023, upon which the remaining balance to be paid will be revealed, leaving reservation customers 3 days to decide whether the first-gen ReadFirst tablet is worth the amount in question.

The OEM have provided some potential incentive to join the Blind Sale, though, in the form of “free gifts” that vary from region to region. They include a free Magnetic Keyboard (priced at US$149/CA$209 separately) thrown in with every pre-order in the US or Canada, whereas European depositors also get an 80W SUPERVOOC power brick (apparently worth €39) and the option to swap the Keyboard for a Stylo or Folio Case as a pre-order gift.

Can’t wait for the OnePlus Pad price reveal? Grab a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 instead on Amazon.
