The flavor inside this jar is “pure hazelnut and pure chocolate with a nice balance between the two,” according to Sarah. This brand isn’t overly sweet so you can enjoy spoonful after spoonful without the tummy ache.
Now, TBH isn’t the smoothest spread out there; you’ll catch some nutty bits the same way you might with natural peanut butter or some almond butter. Overall, though, this didn’t bother our testing team.

This Aldi-exclusive spread is positively delightful. It’s rich in hazelnut flavor and has an incredible texture. “It literally melts in your mouth,” explains Ellie. “It doesn’t stick like peanut butter does—or most other spreads in this test.”
But what really stood out to our team was the flavor of Berryhill Hazelnut Spread. It has hazelnut, it has chocolate and it has a little extra sweetness that made it a standout. “People with a sweet tooth will love this brand,” says the Test Kitchen’s Josh Rink. “I’m one of them, so this is the brand I would buy.”
