Available since last March, the Dell UltraSharp U3223QE is a 31.5-inch IPS monitor with a generous resolution of 3840 X 2160 pixels, 100% Rec 709 and sRGB color gamut, as well as a rich set of connectivity options. The ongoing 27% Amazon discount takes this US$1,149.99 piece of hardware down to US$835.79.

Introduced alongside the 27-inch U2723QE, the Dell UltraSharp U3223QE is a 4K UHD monitor that integrates a USB-C hub with RJ45 and multiple USB hubs that can provide even 90 W PD, as well as support for the DisplayHDR 400 standard. Now, Amazon provides a 27% discount on the 31.5-inch U3223QE, so those interested can get it for US$835.79 instead of the US$1,149.99 list price.

This monitor uses an IPS panel that promises to deliver twice the contrast ratio of its conventional counterparts thanks to the LG IPS Black technology. In addition to the promised 2,000:1 contrast ratio, the Dell UltraSharp U3223QE has an excellent color reproduction capability. The color gamut coverage mentioned by Dell includes 100% Rec 709, 100% sRGB, and 98% DCI-P3.

The generous list of features also includes various Dell technologies aimed at improving the overall user experience, such as ComfortView Plus blue light reduction, Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes for improved multitasking, as well as KVM/Auto KVM for those situations when using two PCs with a single mouse/keyboard combo is needed.

The list of connectivity options includes HDMI 2.2, DP 1.4, as well as a total of no less than 5 USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and a pair of USB Type-C ports. While the normal response times of 8 ms GtG and the “fast” value of 5 ms GtG do not recommend this monitor for gaming, the U3223QE and its 27-inch sibling mentioned earlier are often considered as the best non-Apple monitors that can be used with Apple computers for professional purposes.
