I am not a fan of historical fiction of any kid, but I find this story compelling. – Online Book Club Review

The historical fiction book Taking the Short Bus: Teacher, I Need You by Bruce Beryl Fisher will be displayed by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at The London Book Fair 2023. The book trade event will be held on April 18-20, 2023, at Olympia London, London, UK.

Taking the Short Bus: Teacher, I Need You is one of the many interesting, captivating, and intriguing books that will be exhibited by ReadersMagnet. The book, which is a blend of drama, comedy, and historical fiction, is based on the actual life events of the author. It raises the awareness of students with learning disabilities; the book aims to educate the readers about students who have learning disabilities and have been experiencing criticism and discrimination from the people around them.

The author introduces the protagonist, Eric Blum, an eighteen-year-old student who had suffered from dyslexia and an emotional breakdown after his brothers death in Vietnam. Now that he is in the last year of being a student at Noah Webster Preparatory, a school for kids with special needs, he needs to prove to the school psychologist that he is now academically and emotionally stable enough to graduate. But while hes on the journey to achieve this goal, he falls in love with his history teacher, Carole Schor. This is the part where the story gets exciting and hooks the readers attention.
