According to NBC News, one person has died and at least nine others were injured after a stampede broke out at CMG signee GloRilla’s concert in Rochester, New York, on March 5th.

Police have stated that fans leaving the show thought they heard gunfire inside the venue, causing a rush towards the exit.

Officials have also added that they do not have any evidence of gunshots being fired or anyone being shot or stabbed. Officers found three women inside the venue with significant injuries—one of them, a 33-year-old woman, did not survive her injuries.

The two others remain in critical condition. Seven additional people arrived at local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries from being trampled.

GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, performed at the Main Street Armory when the incident occurred. On Monday, Mar. 6, just before 12:15 a.m., the rapper tweeted that she was “just now hearing about what happened” and praying that everybody was okay.

This marks the latest incident in a series of fatal crowd surges that have occurred at concerts in the U.S. Police are continuing to investigate the incident and determine what caused it, as well as who may have been responsible.

GloRilla, whose 2022 song “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” featuring Hitkidd was nominated for a Grammy for “Best Rap Performance,” was among a number of artists to perform at the recent Grammy Awards Hip-Hop 50th Anniversary tribute.
