Experimental Group continues to expand in Europe

Experimental Group has announced the re-opening of several hotels during the year, all reinvented by interior designer Dorothée Melichzon, strengthening its presence in the Spanish, French, British and Swiss markets.

Experimental Group has announced the reopening of the iconic Gran Hotel Montesol Ibiza this spring, having taken over its management in July 2021.

The new Montesol Experimental will feature a diverse gastronomic offering at Café Montesol, as well as a cocktail bar on its rooftop terrace, with panoramic views of Ibiza harbour and Dalt Vila.

The Experimental de Montesol will be joined this summer by the Experimental de Regina in Biarritz, in a Belle Époque building perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean, facing the Bay of Biscay.

Accessed through an art deco atrium, its 72 rooms pay tribute to local history and traditions. The hotel also features several small lounges, a large conservatory, the Frenchie Biarritz restaurant, a cocktail bar and a spa with an outdoor pool.

Also in the summer, Cowley Manor Experimental will reopen in the English countryside, a two-hour drive from London, in a 17th century manor house surrounded by extensive landscaped grounds, which inspired Lewis Carroll to write his work ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

Cowley Manor has 36 bedrooms, a garden room, games room, bar and lounge for the Experimental Cocktail Club Cotswold. A restaurant, library, gym, large spa and two swimming pools complete the offer.

Finally, the Experimental Chalet St. Moritz, located in the ski resort of the same name in the Swiss Alps, will reopen at the end of the year in one of its oldest hotels. All of its furnishings have been custom-made, inspired by sleds and skis. It will have 43 rooms, as well as the Experimental Cocktail Club St Moritz.
