Heybike’s “most advanced” new e-bike has a fairly standard 750W motor, foldable form-factor, augmented with hydraulic front-fork suspension and disc brakes with “excellent stopping power.” Then again, it also has the in-built connectivity rated to track its location if necessary via its own app. The Tyson is currently available to pre-order online.

With its “one-piece“, yet foldable, construction, battery position, rear rack and front-fork suspension, the Heybike Tyson looks a lot like potential rivals such as those from brands such as ENGWE. Nevertheless, the OEM asserts that its latest e-bike offers greater peace of mind with features such as in-built GPS that supports push notifications should it happen to start moving once the user leaves it tied up somewhere.

The Tyson’s app is also rated to offer mileage, navigation and general status reports. Heybike also asserts that it stands out with a 48V/15AH battery that might sustain a range of up to 55 miles with pedal assist, or ~40 miles without. It also exhibits a 7-inch TFT display to control this power and speed on the go.

The new e-bike is a Class 2 vehicle, with a top speed of 28 miles per hour (mph, or ~45 kilometers per hour) and 7-speed gears from Shimano. It will go to pre-order from March 1, 2023 on heybike.com in black, green or blue for US$1,699 – “an exclusive pre-sale price” that, as the OEM indicates, might be best accessed by getting on the wait-list available via its button on the bike’s sales page.
