A first look at the Moto G Stylus (2023) has surfaced online, courtesy of a reliable leaker. With a design reminiscent of other Moto G smartphones released this year, the Moto G Stylus (2023) will feature thinner display bezels than its predecessors, as well as fewer cameras.
@OnLeaks has leaked this year’s version of the Moto G Stylus, which the leaker refers to as the Moto G Stylus (2023). For reference, Motorola released two Moto G Stylus (2022) models, with the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) a North American exclusive. As it stands, it is unclear whether leaked device renders are of the global model or its North American sibling.
Regardless, the Moto G Stylus (2023) has significantly thinner display bezels than its predecessor. The flat display of its predecessors remains though, as does a single front-facing camera set beneath a centred punch-hole. Additionally, the Moto G Stylus still has a 50 MP primary rear-facing camera. However, the leaked renders point to an aperture expansion of f/1.8 to f/1.9, suggesting that Motorola has switched to a new 50 MP sensor for this year’s model.
Moreover, the renders contain the text ‘2.0 µm’ and ‘ULTRA PIXEL’. In other words, the device will use pixel binning to improve image quality. It seems that Motorola has ditched the 2 MP depth camera from previous Moto G Stylus models, with only two rear-facing cameras on the 2023 edition. @OnLeaks has also disclosed that the Moto G Stylus (2023) will be 9.29 mm thick, which puts it on par with the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022). Other specifications are unknown at this stage, as is a release date.
