Gigabyte has now unleashed new versions of the Aorus 15 and 17 laptops. The OEM touts the duo as machines for gaming on the go, with a updated design that packs WINDFORCE Infinity cooling and up-to-360Hz displays. The upgraded Aorus variants also offer DDR5 RAM and MUX switches.

Gigabyte has now confirmed that the Aorus 15 and 17 have joined their flagship 15X and 17X counterparts in upgrading to 2023 versions. The new laptops are backed to help “Carry Your Game” with a “sleek and portable design” of up to 2.8kg in the 17 (2023).

Nevertheless, it and its 15-inch sibling pack an “improvedWINDFORCE Infinity cooling system that allows the back of the new laptops to be taken up with I/O rather than ventilation as in their predecessors. These ports include the new Aorus variants’ single source of 100W Thunderbolt 4, 1 for HDMI 2.1 and 1 mini DisplayPort with the 1.4 standard.

The Aorus 15 and 17 also offer up to Intel Core i7-13700H/RTX 4070/64GB DDR5 RAM configurations, with choices of FHD or QHD displays that go up to 360Hz – but only in the 15-inch version.

Their retail units have yet to be found online, although they are unlikely to do much better in terms of pricing compared to 2022 counterparts such as the 17 YE5, which started at US$3,699 (although it can be found at a 29% discount on Amazon today).
