OnePlus has officially confirmed that not only is it about to launch its inaugural Android tablet, it has prepared a custom keyboard cover and pen for the device. Furthermore, these accessories are slated to come in the box with the first-gen device. Its latest preview also offers the best and clearest shots of its design – enlarged rear camera included – to date.
Some consumers in the market for a new tablet may have looked as teasers for the upcoming OnePlus Pad and wondered where they would find a case to fit its unusually huge round camera hump. However, the OEM has stepped in and announced that this will not be a problem, as there will be one in the box.
This accessory will in fact also function as a Magnetic Keyboard, which, as its new name suggests, docks to the Pad via compatible pins. It also converts the slate into something like a 2-in-1 thanks to a stand spotted in OnePlus‘ latest teaser video.
The same clip also shows the new OnePlus Stylo at work. This accessory also apparently comes in the box, and is a pen designed for a screen rumored to have premium specs such as a high refresh rate.
Both bonus items are slated to match the colorway in which a Pad is ordered (currently believed to be the same as those for the flagship 11 smartphone), and to enhance a first-gen “Smooth without Equal” experience set to debut globally on February 7, 2023.
