2023 Miami Hurricanes Football Schedule – All Hurricanes on Sports Illustrated: News, Analysis, and More

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its schedule for all of its conference members on Monday, and it presented some unique situations and matchups for the Miami Hurricanes.

Here are key notes to know about Miami’s football schedule, and then a full look at what the Hurricanes will face.

* Three games will not be played on Saturday, including Miami of Ohio (Friday), Bethune-Cookman (Thursday) and Boston College (Friday).

* Five of the 12 teams on the Miami slate come off seasons with winning records. More importantly, it’s a backloaded schedule that the Hurricanes will face.

*October will see Miami take on North Carolina (11-3) at home and North Carolina State (8-5) on the road, during consecutive Saturdays. When the calendar turns to November, it will be a trip to Tallahassee to play rival Florida State (10-3), and a home date with Louisville (8-5) the Saturday afterwards.

* Miami will also face two quarterbacks expected to be in the Heisman Trophy race with Drake Maye from the Tar Heels and Jordan Travis from the Seminoles.

* There’s also the return trip for Texas A&M (5-7), as they come to Hard Rock Stadium to play Miami on the second full weekend of college football. The Aggies did not have the type of 2022 season they expected. Still, the 2023 Aggies’ roster and the matchup with the Canes will be highly anticipated.

* Additionally, there are rumors that Miami has been interested in A&M offensive coordinator James Coley, a one time Miami assistant and also a coach that worked with now Miami head coach Mario Cristobal when they were both at Florida International University.

* Miami must also face Clemson after the Tigers have a bye on their schedule. Florida State will not be as fortunate as it must travel to Pittsburgh the week prior to the annual Seminoles versus Hurricanes matchup.

* As for Miami (5-7) itself, there are many questions after so many additions and departures from the Transfer Portal, injuries to the offensive line and quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, and the departure of offensive coordinator Josh Gattis.

* Plus, it was a great 2023 recruiting class that could see early playing time for some freshmen like offensive linemen Samson Okunlola and Francis Mauigoa, as well as several possibilities on the defensive side of the football like defensive ends Jayden Wayne and Rueben Bain.

* Before the regular season, Miami begins spring practice on March 4 and will hold its annual spring game on Friday, April 14, at DRV Pink Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.
