Luka Dončić is one of the best players in the NBA.

It turns out, he might be one of the best trash-talkers too.

Dončić was brilliant with 53 points, eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and some cutting quips while leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 111-105 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Monday.

As Bryan Kalbrosky of USA Today’s For The Win noted, he and Pistons assistant coach Jerome Allen exchanged words throughout the game until things took a turn in the final seconds when they started yelling at each other.

That is when Pistons forward Isaiah Livers stepped in, only for Dončić to laugh at the role player while asking “Who are you?”

Dončić addressed the incident during a postgame interview, saying “It was their assistant coach, he started chirping in the first quarter. So, they didn’t like it when I chirped back. … If they’re going to chirp at me, I’m going to chirp back. I ain’t scared.”

If Monday’s showing was any indication of what Dončić can do when opponents are talking trash to him, the rest of the teams on Dallas’ schedule may just want to stay silent around the superstar.
