ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED refreshed with Intel Raptor Lake processors, 120 Hz OLED display and more powerful NVIDIA GPU

ASUS has refreshed the Zenbook 14X OLED, a year on from the introduction of its Alder Lake-powered predecessor. Unsurprisingly, ASUS has upgraded the Zenbook 14X OLED to Intel’s newer Raptor Lake processors, with the Core i9-13900H the most powerful option for the 14-inch laptop. ASUS has also moved the Zenbook 14X OLED from the RTX 2050 to the RTX 3050, despite the introduction of even newer RTX 40 laptop GPUs during CES 2023.

However, the RTX 2050 and RTX 3050 are based on the GA107 with 2,048 CUDA cores. Still, the adoption of the RTX 3050 should give this year’s Zenbook 14X OLED nearly a 30% GPU performance uplift over its predecessor. Additionally, the new Zenbook 14X OLED offers up to 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage, 32 GB of LPDDR5-4800 RAM and a 70 Wh battery. All configurations feature twin Thunderbolt 4 ports too, as well as one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port and an HDMI 2.1 (TMDS) connection. In other words, the new Zenbook 14X OLED has an HDMI 2.0 connection that ASUS can market as HDMI 2.1.

ASUS has also equipped the latest Zenbook 14X OLED with a 14.5-inch and 2.8K (2,880 x 1,800) OLED display that has a 120 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the 16:10 display supports touch inputs, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space, is DisplayHDR True Black 600 certified and offers Delta E <2 factory colour calibration. Unfortunately, ASUS has not revealed how much the Zenbook 14X OLED costs nor when it will be available.
