The Pittsburgh Steelers should be watching the College Football Playoff closely on Saturday, as the NFL Draft isn’t far away.

The Steelers still have a slim chance at making the playoffs, but Pittsburgh’s front office is always a step ahead. Expect Omar Khan and Co. to have an eye on the College Football Playoff, as there are plenty of NFL Draft prospects playing for one of Georgia, Ohio State, TCU and Michigan on Saturday night.

Pittsburgh will select in the middle of the first round, which somewhat limits their options. The Steelers won’t get a chance at C.J. Stroud, for example, or Jalen Carter. Those players are expected to be off the board by the time they pick.

The Steelers needs start on the offensive line, and progress to the secondary and even wide receiver after they traded Chase Claypool midseason. Here’s who Pittsburgh football fans should be watching in the CFP.

Steelers mock draft: Kelee Ringo is worth watching

Kelee Ringo will more than likely be matched up on Ohio State’s talented wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. for most of the game. It’ll be a one-on-one matchup for the ages. Should Ringo come out on top, then Ohio State has very little chance of pulling off an upset.

Ringo could very well cement his status as a first-round selection by shutting down Ohio State’s talented receiving corps on Saturday. As a redshirt sophomore, he can enter the NFL Draft.

Ringo has elite strength and speed to match up with any wide receiver at the professional level, as well as make a play on jump balls. It’s a rare combination that the Steelers should want on their roster.
