Sweden has recorded a recent increase in the number of people infected with Campylobacter.

The Public Health Agency of Sweden (Folkhälsomyndigheten) said the rise in infections was expected and is at similar levels to the previous year.

From the end of May, the number of domestically infected patients increased and in the first week of June, 91 cases were reported with Sweden as the country of infection or where the place of infection is unknown. Sick people live across most regions of the country.
