Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has decided on the role of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the 2026/2027 season amid interest from clubs in Europe’s top-five list, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old has seen his name pop up on the radar of elite clubs like Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain, who are all looking to strengthen their attack to win silverware in the coming campaign.
Galatasaray reportedly turned down a bid worth €120 million bid for the former Napoli man a few days ago, having previously received offers from one European club, alongside another from Saudi Arabia.

The Turkish Super Lig Champions are set to begin pre-season preparations as they set out to achieve domestic success again and exceed their Champions League reach last season.
Victor Osimhen was central to that run in Europe, even breaking Obafemi Martins’ record to become the Nigerian with the most goals in the history of the UEFA Champions League.
As per Turkish journalist Ali Naci Küçük, Okan Buruk had a meeting with Osimhen to clarify his future, and the striker is ready for another season at RAMS Park.

“Victor Osimhen is definitely not considering leaving Galatasaray,” the journalist said.
“Two days ago, he had a meeting with Coach Okan and received information regarding the new season planning. He will also participate in the new season camp.”
That statement puts out the fire for clubs still keen on securing the services of the 2023 CAF Player of the Year, although there’s a belief in the club’s camp that a small window of departure is open, but only if offers north of €150 million come in.

Galatasaray begin their season in the coming week, starting with pre-season training before the official fixtures for the 2026/2027 Turkish Super Lig season are rolled out.
