Besiktas midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has been a prominent topic in recent Super Eagles news due to the uncertainty surrounding his future, Soccernet.ng reports.
Ndidi joined Besiktas from Leicester City in an €8 million deal last summer. Despite arriving as a high-profile signing, he was unable to help the team secure a top-three finish, as they ultimately settled for fourth place.
Following a disappointing campaign, the club decided to switch coaches, with Vincenzo Italiano replacing Sergen Yalçın.

With Ndidi failing to fit into the new coach’s tactical setup, he is expected to leave this summer. As a result, the Super Eagles skipper has been linked with clubs in the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, and the English Premier League.
Although his specific destination is yet to be unconfirmed, the Nigerian defensive midfielder — who was linked to Manchester United earlier this year — remains one of the continent’s most highly regarded players and is expected to attract significant interest.

According to Orta Saha, Besiktas have set an €8 million asking price for Ndidi. This is basically the same fee they paid to sign him from Leicester City last summer.
Given the player’s quality, his two remaining years on his contract, and his international experience, this is still a reasonable and affordable valuation. It remains to be seen which club will be the first to meet the asking price.
As the Super Eagles star approaches the twilight of his career, he is expected to prioritize a move that offers a lucrative contract.

However, as the captain of the Nigerian national team, he will also look for a way to balance financial incentives with the need for regular first-team football to maintain his fitness and form.
Ndidi will be looking to resolve his future as soon as possible, as it will allow him to settle into his new environment and begin preparations for the upcoming season.
