Karmine Corp has officially stepped onto the international League of Legends stage. The French esports organization kicked off its first-ever Mid-Season Invitational appearance at the Play-In tournament in Daejeon, South Korea, on June 28.
From French streaming roots to the global stage
Karmine Corp was founded in 2020 by popular French streamers Kameto and Kotei. In just six years, the organization has built one of the most passionate fanbases in European League of Legends, known affectionately as the “Blue Wall.”
That rapid trajectory hit a new peak when KC qualified for MSI 2026 as the LEC Spring Playoffs runner-up. The team punched its ticket on June 6-7 with a commanding 3-0 sweep over Movistar KOI in the lower bracket final.
The MSI 2026 Play-In stage features a double-elimination format with four teams competing for a spot in the main tournament. KC is joined by Deep Cross Gaming from the Asia-Pacific region, alongside T1 and Team Liquid. KC’s opening match pits them against Deep Cross Gaming.
The Play-In runs from June 28 to July 1, with the winner advancing to the main MSI tournament scheduled for July 3 through July 12. All matches are being held at the Daejeon Convention Center.
The esports-crypto gap keeps widening
No fan tokens accompany KC’s international run. No NFT ticket stubs. No blockchain-based engagement platforms. The organization’s revenue model appears anchored firmly in traditional streams: sponsorships, merchandise, and the organic engagement that comes from having a fanatical supporter base.
