The official website of the Kanojo, Okarishimasu (Rent-a-Girlfriend) television anime announced a sixth season on Saturday. The character designer, Kanna Hirayama, drew an illustration to commemorate the announcement (pictured above).
Produced by TMS Entertainment, the 12-episode first season aired in Summer 2020, followed by the second and third season in Summer 2022 and Summer 2023. The fourth season aired in Summer 2025, while the fifth and latest season premiered on April 11 and concluded with its 12th episode on Saturday. Crunchyroll simulcasted all seasons with multiple subtitles and dubs.
Kanojo, Okarishimasu, also known as KanoKari, adapts Reiji Miyajima‘s romantic comedy manga, which began serializing in Weekly Shounen Magazine in July 2017. Kodansha published the 46th volume on June 17.
Miyajima began drawing the Kanojo, Hitomishirimasu (Rent-A-(Really Shy!)-Girlfriend) spin-off manga on the Magazine pocket app in June 2020. The third volume was released in May 2022.
Kodansha USA licensed both the original and spin-off manga in July 2019 and March 2021, respectively. The 36th volume went on sale on April 28, with the 37th volume scheduled for a June 30 release. The third spin-off volume was released in November 2022.
