Will Lankshear could be given the chance to play for the Tottenham Hotspur first team next season after the 21-year-old striker impressed during his loan spell at Oxford United, according to Football Insider.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke said: “I’m sure there’s clubs that are keeping tabs on Lankshear because of how well he did at Oxford on loan.
“Lankshear’s very highly regarded at Tottenham, they feel that he’s got a real chance of making the breakthrough there as well.
“Obviously no decision will be taken on his long-term future until Tottenham have clarity on which division they’re going to be in for next season as well.
“Until Tottenham know where they’re going to be, there’ll be no decisions made on any players.
“Lankshear will be hoping that it’s a clean slate for everybody this summer and he could be given an opportunity to try and stake a claim to become a regular in that Tottenham team.
“That could happen regardless of what league they’re in, even if they stay in the Premier League, if De Zerbi is impressed by what he sees in pre-season.
“But equally I’m sure there’ll be a host of clubs in England and abroad who would be interested in signing the England under-21 international on loan again.”
