bookend return with new single ‘Vinyl On The Wall’.

The project is a two-part collaboration, uniting Japanese producer Masaaki Yoshida with Brazilian vocalist Michelle. The pair are close friends, and first collaborated together for Masaaki’s solo project Anchorsong.

Uniting for ‘The Ocean’, their creative chemistry was evident from the start – it quickly became the producer’s most successful single release.

bookend formally brings them together. New single ‘Vinyl On The Wall’ offers woozy alt-soul, with the production moving between skipped 2-step aspects, the spacious allure of broken beat, and twinkling, after-hours electronics.

Out now, the track is topped off with a wonderful, semi-spoken vocal from Michelle, one that blends alt-soul with real intimacy.
