LeBron James Puts Fitness First With Historic Beats x Nike Collaboration

Beats has unveiled a special edition pair of co-branded Nike earbuds for the ultimate athlete.

The collaboration marks the first time Beats has allowed another brand to imprint on the legacy of its most technologically advanced design to date: The Powerbeats Pro 2 Wireless Earbuds. The iconic Nike Swoosh is stamped on the right ear, and Beats’ signature “b” on the left. The matte black case is decorated with Nike’s famous lime green “Volt” colourway and features the brand’s slogan “JUST DO IT” upon opening.

The dual branding gives each brand equal footing in style and function, as this new collaboration seeks optimal performance for athletes. The earbuds are integrated with a built-in heart rate monitor that syncs with Nike Run Club and Fitness apps so the wearer can monitor their stats on the go and feature adaptive Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) to help silence any distractions.

With performance at its core, this launch also marks Beats’ first ever collaboration with a sportswear brand as we see a rising demand for wearable tech with uncompromising style. Offering 45 hours of battery life with the charging case, IPX4-rated sweat and water resistance and Beats’ signature wrap-around ear-hooks for outstanding hold,

“This isn’t just a new colourway; it’s a collision of two brands that define performance, culture, and sports —the attributes of today’s athlete,” said Chris Thorne, CMO of Beats.

Beats tapped longtime brand ambassador LeBron James as the face of the campaign. LeBron, who was the first athlete to ever sign with Beats back in 2008, trades the basketball court for the golf course in a fun campaign that plays on his less than stellar golfing skills.

“By placing the Swoosh on our hardware for the first time, we’re honouring the shared DNA of Beats and Nike” Chris Thorne continued. “And celebrating ambassadors like LeBron James who embody both. It’s a tribute to the grit, style, and sound that push people to their limits.”

“When two iconic brands like Beats and Nike come together, it’s more than a collaboration—for me, it’s family,” said LeBron James. “I’ve been part of the Beats journey since day one with the original Powerbeats, and the Powerbeats Pro 2 represent everything I need in my daily routine, whether I’m training, recovering, or just living life. These aren’t just my go-to earbuds—they’re built for anyone who refuses to compromise on performance.”

The special-edition Nike Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds will be available from Friday 20th March, visit beatsbydre.com to learn more.
