‘Hokuto no Ken: Fist of the North Star’ Announces Additional Cast

The official website of the Hokuto no Ken: Fist of the North Star television anime revealed additional cast on Wednesday. The new anime series adapting Buronson and Tetsuo Hara‘s action sci-fi manga premiered on April 11 at 1 a.m. on Tokyo MX and BS 11.

Heart: Chafuurin (Gintama)
Diamond: Yasuhiro Mamiya (Sakamoto Days)
Club: Anri Katsu (Toaru Majutsu no Index)

Hiroshi Maeda (Sousei no Aquarion director of photography) is helming the anime at TMS Entertainment. Kazuhiko Inukai (Bakugan: Armored Alliance) is handling the series composition and Naoki Hisatsune (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean animation director) is designing the characters. Yuuki Hayashi (Kiznaiver) is composing the music.

Buronson and Hara serialized the manga in Weekly Shounen Jump from September 1983 to August 1988. Shueisha published the 27th and final volume in March 1989.

Produced by Toei Animation, the first season of original television anime aired in 109 episodes from Fall 1984 to Winter 1987. The 43-episode second season premiered in Spring 1987.
