‎Saudi Arabia issues 1,660 new industrial licenses worth SAR 76B in 2025

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 1,660 new industrial licenses in 2025, with investments exceeding SAR 76 billion.

The total number of jobs to be created through these licenses is estimated at around 34,800.

In addition, 1,201 factories began production during the same year, with investments exceeding SAR 31 billion and a workforce estimated at about 45,500 employees.

The ministry also issued 736 new mining licenses in 2025. This included 479 exploration licenses, 127 building materials quarry licenses, 61 mining and small mine exploitation licenses, 52 reconnaissance licenses, and 17 mineral ore surplus licenses.

The total number of valid mining licenses by the end of 2025 reached about 2,925. This included 1,553 building materials quarry licenses, 1,018 exploration licenses, 275 mining and small mine exploitation licenses, 67 reconnaissance licenses, and 12 mineral ore surplus licenses.
