Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, his mother, identified as Zipporah, shared that they had spent the day together on Wednesday, and he left the home. When the young man returned home, he asked the motorcycle driver to drop him far from home and not near home, as is the norm.

“He had mental health challenges before, but he got well. It looks like the mental health challenges are coming up once again; he started seeing hallucinations,” said Zipporah.

“He may be experiencing mental health challenges and be in need of help and support,” said Zipporah.

Relief as family reunites with missing 9-year-old son

In another story, Cornelius Kipchirchir reunited with his family from Kapsait, Elgeyo Marakwet, after three months of being away.

Since last year, the nine-year-old boy has allegedly stayed at his relative’s home in Chepkigen Ziwa. He left the relative’s home on Tuesday, January 14, and a Good Samaritan saw him and then announced his state online.
