It all started late one night with a simple Instagram message: “I can’t sleep.” I replied gently, asking, “Why can’t you sleep?” From that small exchange, something unexpected began. Our conversations continued, turning into daily check-ins, long calls, and a friendship that grew despite the distance between our countries. In him, I found someone who carried himself with dignity, spoke with grace, and treated others with respect. A year later, we finally met in person, and the connection felt just as real as it did over the phone. We’ve had our share of ups and downs, but love has remained steady, even in adversity. I shared my dreams and visions with him, and he listened—truly listened—never forgetting a single thing. He’s a man of few words but strong actions. With him, I feel so safe that if he held me over a cliff, I wouldn’t even tremble, because I trust him completely.
Another thing that truly won my heart was his relationship with my mum and my family—so healthy, so genuine, so beautiful. In July 2022, as I was planning a trip home to see my parents, he suggested we go out for lunch to relax before I travelled. Throughout the meal, he kept reassuring me, promising me a good life, peace of mind, and so much more. I remember thinking, Why all this reassurance? I’m not going anywhere! After lunch, we talked a bit more, and right there in the heart of Istanbul, he proposed—with the exact ring I had always dreamed of. We continued planning and archiving our dreams. Then in March, he said, “Let’s get married in December. I can’t wait any longer.” We immediately hired a planner, shared our vision, and now here we are—counting down the days until we finally become one.
