Google has unveiled a new Gemini feature called “Personal Intelligence,” a system designed to synthesize insights from a user’s Gmail, Photos, YouTube history, and Search activity to provide more tailored responses.
The feature rolled out Wednesday in beta for Gemini Advanced users in the US, including Google One AI Premium subscribers, with wider access planned soon.
Personal Intelligence marks a strategic evolution in Google’s AI approach. While Gemini previously accessed individual apps, the new feature can reason across multiple services simultaneously.
The feature is powered by Gemini 3 and designed to turn Google’s platform scale into a competitive advantage. While rivals like OpenAI and Anthropic focus on model strength, Google is betting on context, distribution, and user trust.
