Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray are keeping tabs on Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika, but they will only move for him if they fail to land their primary target, Soccernet.ng reports.
Over the past few months, Onyedika has been linked with several top European clubs following his impressive performances for Club Brugge.
Since joining the Belgian side in 2022, he has grown in leaps and bounds, establishing himself as one of the most vital players at the club.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder was previously linked with Premier League side West Ham, but those links have since cooled off.
In recent weeks, Galatasaray has emerged as the most likely destination for the Nigerian. But while the reigning Turkish champions have been consistently linked with the Super Eagles star, they are yet to submit an official bid.
Soccer The Senegalese Hero Standing in Raphael Onyedika’s Way
According to a report from Pesindeyiz Galatasaray, the Lions are prioritizing the signing of Senegalese midfielder Pape Gueye from Villarreal.
Recall that the 27-year-old midfielder was the hero for the Teranga Lions, scoring the decisive goal that helped Senegal defeat Morocco in the final of the recently concluded AFCON 2025. He has also been a consistent performer for the Yellow Submarine in Spain.

However, Galatasaray are yet to make significant headway in negotiations. Gueye still has two years left on his current contract, and Villarreal are reluctant to let him leave given his importance to the squad.
Despite the hurdles, Galatasaray remains optimistic about striking a deal for the Senegalese international. Should they fail to reach an agreement, they will pivot their attention toward Onyedika.

The Super Eagles star represents a more affordable alternative to Gueye, who is valued at approximately €30 million.
The Turkish giants are expected to make a final decision on their midfield recruitment in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Onyedika has reportedly turned down a contract extension at Club Brugge. With his current deal set to expire in 2027, he could become a free agent by the end of next season if a sale isn’t sanctioned soon.
