All3Media Continues To Expand U.S. Presence With Barnicle Brothers Deal

EXCLUSIVE: All3Media’s push to bolster its U.S. business is continuing.

The British production group has struck a deal to bring over documentary producer Barnicle Brothers.

It marks the latest step in its unscripted strategy in the States, which follows the launch of Inner Drive Entertainment, run by Jon Barinholtz and Rob Belushi, and the addition of Jill Goslicky and Vivian Choi’s MindMeld Entertainment, under Studio Lambert U.S.

Boston-born siblings Nick and Colin Barnicle run the New York-based production company, which specializes in feature documentaries, particularly in the sports, music and true-crime spaces. It will sit under All3Media America.

Projects have included This Is a Robbery: The World’s Biggest Art Heist for Netflix, which premiered in 2021, Carol and Johnny, about prolific bank robbers Johnny Williams and Carol Hawkins-Williams, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2022, and American Godfathers: The Five Families, which was narrated by The Sopranos star Michael Imperioli and aired on the History Channel.  

Last year, they scored the  Sports Emmy for Outstanding Documentary Series for The Comeback: 2004 Boston Red Sox, a three-part series that chronicled the team’s journey to their first World Series title in 86 years that streamed on Netflix.
