New Teaser: “The Muppet Show” Special

Disney has unveiled a new 30-second trailer for “The Muppet Show,” the return of the iconic TV series, for a special event set to air on February 4th on Disney+ and ABC.

Kermit, Miss Piggy and the beloved Muppet gang are back, the synopsis saying “Music, comedy, and a whole lot of chaos is bound to ensue when The Muppets once again take the stage of the original Muppet Theatre”.

Alex Timbers directs the special, whose very special guest star will be pop princess Sabrina Carpenter.

Veteran Muppet performers Bill Barretta, Dave Goelz, Eric Jacobson, Peter Linz, David Rudman, and Matt Vogel will perform the majority of the iconic Muppet characters in this production.

Carpenter, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Alex McAtee, David Lightbody, Leigh Slaughter, Michael Steinbach, Albertina Rizzo, Matt Vogel, and Eric Jacobson executive produce.

The one-off comes ahead of the celebrated show’s 50th anniversary on September 5th and fans can first rewatch all five seasons of the classic 1970s variety show series on the Disney+ streaming service.
