Nick Reiner's mental health issue that led to Rob, Michelle murders revealed

Nick Reiner was reportedly diagnosed with schizophrenia before he brutally killed his parents Rob and Michele Reiner.

According to sources who spoke to TMZ, Nick had been taking medications that made him act ” erratic and dangerous.”

The 32-year-old was receiving treatment from a psychiatrist for mental illness but his behaviour became alarming” in the weeks leading up to his parents’ stabbing deaths.

He also received help at an expensive Los Angeles-based rehab facility that specializes in mental illness and substance abuse.

Rob and Michelle were found with their throats slit in their Los Angeles home by their daughter Romy, 28, on Sunday, December 14.

According to TMZ, Romy told the authorities to investigate a “dangerous” family member. Her brother Nick was taken into custody soon after and questioned.

He found around 20 miles away in Exposition Park, near Downtown LA and arrested and charged for the murders.

According to other sources that spoke to Us Weekly, he had been “hostile” towards his family for years.

“A lot of his anger was directed at his parents for many, many years,” the insider explained. “They did everything a parent could possibly do to help him. Even in his younger years, they really tried to get him help. And then it became a cycle of seeking treatment for him, kicking him out, or him leaving the house, him moving back in.”

“This went on for years,” claimed the mole.

Rob and Michele are survived by Nick, Jake and Romy.
