October is prime time for small businesses to shine, with Camden Council gearing up to celebrate Small Business Month.

This year’s program offers a lineup of workshops, webinars and networking opportunities led by industry experts and small business professionals. It includes:

  • AI-Powered Search Engine Optimisation, an online webinar unpacking the rise of Generative Engine Optimisation, on Tuesday 7 October, 12-1pm
  • Creative Connect: Speed Networking for Creatives and Businesses, a vibrant, fast-paced networking event for local business owners and creatives in one inspiring space, on Wednesday 8 October, 6- 9pm, at Camden Civic Centre;
  • AI In Action: Hands-On Workshop for Small Business, a practical, hands-on workshop designed specifically for business owners and professionals who want to cut through the noise and learn exactly how AI tools can support and transform their operations, on Wednesday 15 October, 5.30pm-7.30pm, at Oran Park Library; and
  • Business Networking and Future Insights with McCrindle Research, an inspiring evening of networking, on Thursday 23 October, 5.30pm- 8.30pm, at Camden Civic Centre.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, encouraged small businesses across the Camden area to get involved, build their skills and grow their networks.

“Small businesses are the heartbeat of our community and October is a chance to celebrate their creativity, resilience and impact,” she said.

“Whether you’re an established business, a start-up or you’re simply curious about what going into business yourself might look like, Small Business Month offers a wealth of opportunities to learn, connect and showcase your skills.

“Camden Council is proud to support our local businesses as they continue to grow and innovate. Don’t miss your chance to be part of it all.”

This year’s theme, ‘The Future Is Now’, reminds businesses that innovation cannot wait. With artificial intelligence transforming the way we work, market and connect, staying ahead of the curve is more important than ever. Embracing new tools today means staying competitive tomorrow, because the future is already here.
