When I’m not reading or taking my Corgis to the dog park, I’m cooking. There’s something special about exploring the world through food, so I’m always on the lookout for new cookbooks to add to my collection. There’s also the world of food writing. Whether it’s a chef giving their opinion about a certain cuisine or a food critic sharing their go-to restaurants, I’m here for it. This fall, there’s a host of must-read cookbooks and food writing hitting a bookshelf near you. Here are the contenders from my TBR.

Good Things: Recipes and Rituals to Share with People You Love: A Cookbook by Samin Nosrat (September 16th)

From the moment I first flipped through its pages, I fell in love with Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat. For a while, I gave copies of Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat for every birthday. I’ve given away so many copies that I used to buy them in batches because I knew I’d go through them that quickly. So the moment I saw the announcement for Samin Nosrat’s new cookbook, I gasped and pre-ordered my copy so fast. Good Things focuses on joy and the pleasure of sharing food with the ones you love.
