What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
My brothers Johnny Ward who played for University of South Florida and my brother Jay Ward who played for LSU and now plays for the Minnesota Vikings.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
One of my favorite moments when I was at Austin Peay and we played against Tennessee I had 2 PBUs and 10 tackles I had the best feeling after that game and another time when EKU made it to the playoff I was happy for the team.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
Both of my brothers Johnny and Jay I just always wanted to be like them on and off the football field.
What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?
I’m looking forward to being in Nashville Vanderbilt stadium January 5th.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?
I would say Kyle Hamilton I love the way he plays you can line him up any where on the field and he would play that’s how I feel like I play.
What are your favorite things about playing football for Eastern Kentucky?
The atmosphere at Roy Kidd stadium just make me feel like a kid on Christmas.
What should we know about Jaheim Ward the person?
That he loves ball and wants to play in the NFL with his brother.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
I like 4-2-5 uses a DB as linebacker and who can always cover I just feel like you can do way more in that defense and that way more speed is on the field.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
Something bad is going to always happen no matter what a catch is going to get made on you, your probably going to have a flat tire on the way to work it’s about how you respond and stay positive.
What would a team get in a player like you?
Versatile safety who can play both sides and also a role player who is ready to come in and learn from the veterans and when my time comes to get on the field I’ll be ready.
What stands out about your film the most?
How aggressive I am.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Koby Perry, I played at Austin Peay with him, he was a dog and I say that because how much he weighed at safety but he hits like he is 210.
