Who is in the cast of Margo’s Got Money Troubles?

Watch on Deadline

Elle Fanning will star as the titular Margo Millet, child of a Hooters waitress and ex-pro wrestler. Her casting was first announced along with that of Nicole Kidman. Kidman will play mediator between Margo and her ex-boyfriend Mark, who is also her former English professor. Deadline broke the news of Michael Angarano’s casting as Mark.

Nick Offerman will portray Margo’s father, Jinx. Michelle Pfeiffer will portray Margo’s mother, Shyanne.

Deadline exclusively reported that Thaddea Graham (Bad Sisters, Sex Education), will portray Margo’s roommate Susie. Marcia Gay Harden will appear in a guest role in the series.

Greg Kinnear will portray Kenny, Shyanne’s religious boyfriend, Deadline exclusively reported.

Lindsey Normington (Anora), rapper, singer, songwriter Rico Nasty and Michael Workèyè (My Lady Jane) will round out the cast in the recurring roles of Rose, KC and JB. Rose and KC are OnlyFans users, and JB is a man Margo meets on the platform.

What is Margo’s Got Money Troubles about?

Just as in Thorpe’s novel, Margo gets pregnant after a brief affair with her English teacher Mark, who works at the local junior college she attends. At 20 years old, alone with the baby and unemployed, Margo faces eviction if she can’t find a way to pay rent, but when her estranged father shows up and asks to move in with her, she says yes for the childcare that he can provide. She also starts an OnlyFans account to experiment and pay the bills, incorporating some of her father’s advice from the world of wrestling.
