Phil Spencer Hypes Up Clockwork Revolution Following Xbox Games Showcase Reveal

Entertainment

“I knew it would be one of the real standouts”

InXile Entertainment’s Clockwork Revolution wasn’t announced for the first time at the Xbox Games Showcase this past weekend, but we did get a proper gameplay reveal that seemed to attract unanimous praise from Xbox fans.

And, in an interview following the event, Xbox boss Phil Spencer hyped up the game and stated that he “knew it would be one of the real standouts” at the Xbox Games Showcase this year. Here’s a bit of what he had to say:

“You knew that they were going to set the bar very high for themselves… I think what you see now is the ultimate manifestation of an InXile game. I think we all probably get a little blown away by the level of graphic fidelity, right? The game looks amazing.”

“We start crafting the show in December / January, and when we first started to get some sight into what InXile was building [with the trailer], I knew it would be one of the real standouts in the show.”

We unfortunately didn’t get a release date for Clockwork Revolution at the event last Sunday, but it sounds like Phil and his team are willing to wait for a super polished product – and the first-party slate is already stacked enough as it is!

Hopefully we’ll hear more about Clockwork Revolution between now and the Xbox Games Showcase in 2026, but even if we don’t, this one’s going to occupy a key spot on our Xbox Game Studios radar in the months / years (?) to come.

What did you think of the Clockwork Revolution reveal at the Xbox Showcase? Tell us down below.
