The shortlist for the CN Specialists Awards 2025 has been revealed.
A total of 163 entries – a dozen more than last year – made it through the first round of judging, with 108 companies represented across 23 categories.
Modular builder Zed Pods – one of the 2024 award winners – has the most shortlisted nominations with seven.
Five specialists each earned four shortlist places: envelope contractor Lindner Prater; passive fire protection firm CLM Fireproofing; enabling specialist Cognition Land and Water; demolition firm John F Hunt; and structural steel specialist Metek.
Winners in each category will be announced at a celebratory black-tie dinner on 2 September 2025, to be held at the Hilton London Metropole.
The most contested award of the evening – with a dozen shortlisted entries apiece – will be Rising Star and Project of the Year by a Specialist Contractor (subcontract up to £2m).
And three other categories will feature 10 or more contenders: Technology Innovation of the Year (Non-Contractor), Specialist Contractor of the Year (turnover up to £25m) and Specialist Contractor of the Year (turnover over £25m)
Entrants have been judged by a panel of 93 judges drawn from a wide variety of disciplines across the whole of the construction industry.
The full shortlist can be viewed on the CN Specialists Awards 2025 website.
