When summer rolls in, you know things are about to get juicy. Because that means our favorite cherry recipes are back on the table. But these recipes (including both sweet and sour cherries) aren’t confined to the warmer months—there are plenty of opportunities to swap in frozen cherries, canned ones, and even syrupy cocktail cherries. So whether you’re prepping your pie dough or have a ready-made crust waiting in the wings, there’s a lot to dig into below.
You’ll find plenty of our favorite cherry desserts—hello cobbler, crumble, turnovers, and cheesecake—but savory fans will be delighted to see pork chops, pizza, and salads here too. There are also breakfast recipes, snacks, and drinks. You’ll find things you can whip up on a whim and showstoppers that require a little more time to execute. So dust off that cherry pitter and put on your apron (cherry juice splatter is no joke). Our best cherry recipes are just a scroll away.

This tart comes from chef Stefano Secchi of New York City’s Rezdôra, who was inspired by his time working in Piedmont, Italy. Fun fact: you can swap in an Italian vanilla-flavored leavening agent for baking powder for extra authenticity.
