Kizuna AI Emerges from Hiatus With New Video and Music

The Virtual YouTuber world wouldn’t be what it is without Kizuna AI, though she went on an indefinite hiatus starting in February 26, 2022. However, she’s just declared her return!

“Today marks exactly three years since my last live concert!” she says in an English-subtitled video. “And now I’m officially resuming my activities! You waited for me, right?”
Disclosing the reason for not being around, she comments, “I went to sleep to update so that I could connect with even more people around the world. ‘Connecting with everyone’ has always been my biggest goal.”
She says she’s going to focus on musical activities first, noting, “I realized that if I wanted to connect with more people on a deeper level, music was the best way to do it.”
In the next year, she’s hoping to release more than 10 songs, and teased that there might be a concert coming. She’s already released her first new song, titled “kamone.” You can check out the song and music video here.

“It’s really amazing, so make sure you watch it all the way through!” she exclaims.
Her next song will be out in March, though she isn’t entirely clear on the date.
She wraps it up, saying, “I’ll keep talking and sharing with you for now on, too!”
