BetMGM Progressive Jackpot Goes Over CA$1.6M in Ontario

Entertainment

BetMGM, the leading sports betting and gaming entertainment company that resulted from a partnership between MGM Resorts International and Entain Plc, has big news related to online casino players in Ontario.

The online gaming pioneering company’s progressive jackpot has soared past CA$1.6 million, signaling the highest it’s ever been in the Canadian province.

“Significant Milestone for BetMGM Casino in Ontario”

The massive progressive jackpot is currently up for grabs for anyone playing on BetMGM Casino or Wheel of Fortune Casino within the province.

“This represents a significant milestone for BetMGM Casino in Ontario. We are dedicated to offering players the best iGaming experience, which includes a wide variety of games, jackpots, and readily available responsible gambling tools,” said Matt Prevost, chief revenue officer at BetMGM.

The jackpot comes from a pool tied to exclusive games developed in-house by Entain. A total of 19 slot games contribute to the growing pot, which increases every time someone plays without hitting the big one.

Titles like Bison Fury, MGM Grand Millions, Loot’en Khamun: The Dead Sea Scrolls, and Melon Madness are just a few that players can spin for a shot at the massive prize.

CA$14M Paid in the Past Year

Over the past year alone, BetMGM has paid out an impressive CA$14 million in progressive jackpots to Ontario players.

The company has also made waves across the U.S. Last year saw BetMGM dish out the largest iGaming jackpot ever in New Jersey at US$6.5 million, along with a record payout of $923,347 in West Virginia.

BetMGM continues to build one of the most expansive online casino libraries in North America, boasting over 5,400 games and a robust exclusive jackpot network with more than 25 jackpot-linked titles.

Not Just About the Big Wins

BetMGM has also kept responsible gaming at the core of its operations, giving players access to a wide assortment of specific tools meant to encourage safer play, including GameSense, which is a well-regarded program developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and integrated into MGM Resorts and BetMGM platforms.

The system provides players with the same responsible gambling experience online as they would get at a physical MGM property.

At the end of March, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario fined BetMGM Canada CA$110,000 for violating the Registrar’s Standards for Internet Gaming.
