Apple Supplier’s Chairman Leads New List Of China’s Top Businesswomen

Forbes China, the licensed Chinese-language edition of Forbes, is out with its latest ranking of China’s 100 most successful businesswomen, and the billionaire leader of one of the country’s suppliers to Apple once again tops the list.

Wang Laichun chairs Luxshare Precision, a supplier of cable assemblies and connectors for consumer electronics and other industries. The company’s founder holds an estimated fortune worth $8.8 billion on the Forbes Real-Time Billionaires List today. Wang, also known as Grace Wang, worked for Taiwan billionaire Terry Gou’s Hon Hai Precision Industry for 10 years earlier in her career. Wang has ranked No. 1 on Forbes China’s annual ranking of the country’s most successful businesswomen every year since 2022.

Leaders from listed companies, unicorns and multinationals are among the 100 members of the annual ranking. The list takes into account financial performance, market capitalization and influence, among other factors.

Among others to make the top five, Lens Technology Chairman Zhou Qunfei ranked No. 2, followed by Huawei Technologies Deputy Chairman Meng Wanzhou at No. 3. Zhou Chaonan, founder and chairman of Runze Technology ranked No. 4, and Gree Electric Chairman Dong Mingzhu came in at No. 5.
