Andy Hendrickson Resigns from CTO Role at Aristocrat

Entertainment

The global entertainment and gaming content company, Aristocrat Leisure Limited, announced changes to its senior-level management team. On Wednesday this week, the company confirmed that its chief technology officer, Andy Hendrickson, has taken the decision to resign from his role.

After Four Years with Aristocrat, Hendrickson Stepped Down

It was back in July 2021 when the seasoned executive was appointed to the key role of chief technology officer. Since then, he has played a major role in guiding the company and overseeing strategic processes. Collaborating with other senior-level executives, partners and experts, Hendrickson proved that he is a valuable addition to the C-suite.

However, as noted, Aristocrat unexpectedly confirmed that its chief technology officer has resigned from his role and continued to pursue a career with a competitor. The company did not disclose the name of the competitor company but outlined that Hendrickson followed his contractual obligations, which included a notice period of six months.

In light of the departure, which wasn’t announced publicly before Wednesday, Aristocrat has already organized the transition of responsibilities to an executive who will hold the senior-level role in interim capacity. At the same time, the company confirmed that it continues a “rigorous internal and external search” for an executive to succeed in the role.

Trevor Croker, Aristocrat’s CEO and managing director, commented on the topic. He praised Hendrickson’s contributions to the business in the last few years. Finally, Croker said that the company is looking forward to announcing who would succeed Hendrickson for the chief technology officer role.

We thank Andy for his contribution to our business over the past four years and look forward to announcing his successor in due course.

Not the First Senior Exec to Exit Aristocrat

Only recently, another executive announced his departure from the company. Back in December, Aristocrat Gaming announced that its CEO, Hector Fernandez, decided to step down from his role for unnamed competitor. At the time, Aristocrat confirmed that the CEO stepped down immediately.

Shortly after, it became clear that Fernandez will take the lead as CEO of the merged business of International Game Technology’s (IGT) Gaming and Digital Division and Everi Holdings. The former Aristocrat executive would assume the leadership role as soon as the deal is finalized, which is expected at some point this year.
