Holonym Acquires Gitcoin for Largest Proof of Humanity

The acquisition integrates Gitcoin Passport with Holonym’s Human Network to boost identity verification.

It plans to generate over 34.5 million zero-knowledge (ZK) credentials. This is more than triple the proofs offered by Worldcoin. This move positions Holonym as the top provider of privacy-focused onchain reputation and Sybil detection solutions.

Human Passport: Redefining Privacy and Trust in Digital Identity

As part of the deal, Gitcoin Passport will rebrand as Human Passport to reflect its evolution into a Proof of Humanity solution that empowers individuals to verify their identities without sharing sensitive personal data. By incorporating Human Key technology, the newly rebranded Human Passport will offer web3 users seamless data control and enhanced privacy.
