Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has turned down the first offer of a new contract from the club, according to The Athletic. It has been reported that Madrid held talks with Vinicius Junior’s camp last month and offered him a new deal, which was rejected.

The Saudi Pro League wanted to sign Vinicius Junior last summer and made contact with the forward’s camp in December, telling them that 24-year-old will be a big target for them in the summer of 2025 as well. The forward earns €15 million per year net after tax and would like to be paid more than that as per his new terms.

Vinicius Junior has been on the books of Madrid since 2018 when he joined from Flamengo. The Brazil international has established himself as one of the best players in the world and has been superb for Los Blancos. The forward has scored 101 goals and given 83 assists in 294 matches in all competitions for Madrid so far in his career.
