From Emmanuel Uzor, Awka

Nimo community in Njikoka local government area of Anambra State has expressed great joy over their conquest over activities of unknown gunmen in the area.

The community while celebrating one month without record of kidnapping and other heinous crime also thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his proactive security programme in the state.

Traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Maxi Ike Oliobi expressed profound happiness and gratitude to Chukwuma Soludo for dislodging unknown gunmen who had held the community to ransom

“We want to thank Governor of Anambra State and his team for dislodging the unknown gun men that camped at Owa Nimo forest that have been terrorizing our dear town and neighboring towns.

“During the yuletide period, there were no news of kidnapping, car snatching and other social vice in Nimo. This singular act of the Governor enabled Ndi Nimo and the neighboring towns to celebrate the yuletide comfortably without fear of any form of insecurity, be it social or otherwise. We are sincerely happy as the various quarters, villages, social clubs, cultural groups, etc. carried out their respective proposed annual programs/activities under guaranteed safe environment enabled by the governor.

“We cannot thank him enough for the protection of life and properties during this past yuletide. We also implore him to maintain the tempo by making sure that the criminals do not return. We, the good people of Nimo know that security is key to a good governance.

“Furthermore, we express our profoundly gratitude for the construction and rehabilitation of Uruegbe Nimo road, through Eke Udo to Oye Agu Abagana road, which is 95% completion and rehabilitation of Nimo / Neni road.
