‘It Really Is a Lot of Work’ – Bill Belichick Sympathizes With Tom Brady on $375,000,000 Analyst’s Broadcasting Challenges

Tom Brady’s shift from NFL legend to Fox Sports analyst has been a grind. His career transition has been met with mixed reactions, but as expected, he has the support of his former coach and mentor, Bill Belichick.

TB12 and Belichick appeared on an episode of the Let’s Go podcast, discussing recent developments in the football world. However, as host Jim Gray asked the former New England Patriots head coach to shed light on just how demanding Brady’s new role is, Belichick showered him with praise.

Bill Belichick Hypes Up Tom Brady For His New Stint

Belichick, known for his methodical approach, empathized with Brady’s workload and highlighted the complexity of preparing for multiple teams each week.

“It was really hard to prepare for one team, to study one team all week, to get ready to coach in that game,” Belichick shared. “The thought of trying to learn two teams in depth like that is really hard. To prepare like Tom did for one opponent, and now to prepare like that for both teams — it’s a lot of work.”

Brady’s broadcasting journey began with much fanfare, but his initial performances were met with mixed reviews. Critics analyzed his early deliveries, and Brady himself admitted in September that he was “learning on the fly.” He has a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports, which demands adaptations.

Over time, Brady has found his momentum, winning over skeptics and earning praise for his dedication, making him a seven-time Super Bowl champion.

Tom Brady Has the Support of His Former Teammate Rob Gronkowski

Brady is still settling into his new role as a Fox Sports analyst for a few. Still, he’s found another ardent supporter in former teammate and longtime collaborator, Rob Gronkowski. As a contributor on Fox NFL Sunday, Gronk has seen firsthand the progress Brady has made since the season began.

“He’s having so much fun, and I love it,” Gronkowski shared via Fox News Digital. “He’s made tremendous improvement. And what’s so good about it as well is he chimes in every once in a while to the pregame show booth while I’m at the desk. That’s really special to be teammates with him again off the field.”

Gronkowski, who also navigated his own broadcasting transition, offered a reminder that perfection doesn’t come instantly.

“No one is going to go out of the gates and be perfect,” he said. “Just to see him improve week in and week out, that’s what it’s all about. That’s who Tom Brady is — he’s a guy that’s going to keep improving until it’s perfect,” added the former tight end.

The dynamic duo is fiercely remembered for their countless on-field connections, and they continue to share mutual love and respect in their post-playing careers. Meanwhile, Brady’s determination hasn’t wavered, and with supporters like Belichick and Gronkowski cheering him on, his journey as an analyst is only just beginning.
