Is a GTA 6 trailer incoming almost a full year after the last? This YouTube playlist update has got fans excited, but we’re keeping our feet on the ground until its official

It’s almost exactly a year since we first got our eyes on GTA 6, and while fans are still hoping for a mysterious announcement tomorrow, December 3, thanks to a rumoured PlayStation event, another piece of the puzzle has been spotted by eagle-eyed fans.
While GTA Online keeps pulling players in, a YouTube playlist, supposedly from developer Rockstar Games, which only features the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, is said to have been “Updated today” – sparking speculation that the long-awaited second look at the game could be closer than expected.
While we’re curious, we’re not entirely convinced just yet – here’s why.

Fans think GTA 6 trailer is coming soon

You can find the playlist, with the placeholder title of Untitled List, here.
On the one hand, it’s not visible on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel, and it shows the playlist has had a single view when the game’s first trailer alone had 223 million of them.
So what’s got everyone so excited? This playlist is actually affiliated with the developer, and it’s accessible when viewing the trailer from the official site.
As VG247 points out, however, it’s seemingly a cruel YouTube loop that means it constantly says it’s updated today as the trailer playlist may have been set up incorrectly.
One user on X (Formerly Twitter) said: “It’s some very weird internal YouTube logic (or perhaps a bug?). I have no idea why it exists but it can be done with any video. When R* added the video embed to /VI on 2023-12-12, they accidentally set the playlist ID to be the same as the video ID. This creates a ‘fake” (1/x)”
Still, after a year with no news, it’s clear fans are desperate for info – here’s hoping we get some soon.
