PIC of the Day: ICT Minister Tatenda Mavetera Visits Mapostori

Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Tatenda Mavetera attended a church service at Mutumwa Paul Mwazha’s African Apostolic Church in Chivhu on Saturday.

She shared pictures of her attending the service clad in a white gown and head wrap that has become synonymous with the church.

ICT Minister Tatenda Mavetera Reveals Her Reason For Visiting Mapostori

In one of the photos, she can be seen kneeling with her hands clasped while three of the church’s priests stretch their hands above her. As a Member of Parliament for Chikomba West, she also visited other churches in her constituency.

Minister Mavetera described her visits to two local churches as part of an engagement initiative.

“Yesterday was a fulfilling day in my constituency as I engaged with various communities, witnessing the power of faith, innovation, and collective action in building a brighter Zimbabwe,” she shared on her Facebook page.

Her itinerary included two church visits in her constituency. In Chivhu, she joined the African Apostolic Church for a spiritual service honouring Mutumwa Paul Mwazha, who turned 106 this year. She highlighted the emotional moment of singing Hymn 100, “Ishe Taungana Muno Mumba Mako,” calling it a heartfelt experience.

Advocating for Change

The minister also attended a 14-day Gender-Based Violence program in Beatrice, partnering with organizations committed to promoting safety, equality, and empowerment.

To cap off her day, she visited the AFM in Zimbabwe church, where she was inspired by their vision of constructing a digitalized conference centre. She emphasized how this aligns with her ministry’s focus on technological advancement.

“I ended the day with a visit to AFM in Zimbabwe, inspired by their vision to build a Digitalized Conference Centre, aligning with our goals for technological innovation. I am grateful for the prayers, support, and shared dedication to progress. Together, we can achieve greatness for Zimbabwe,” she said.
