Motorola is projected to launch a new Razr with a bigger cover display than ever before in 2023. Now, the foldable Android smartphone is tipped to launch alongside a second version for the first time in the same year. This allegedly inaugural Lite version will drop its flagship counterpart’s upgraded feature to debut as a more “affordable” option.

The modern-day Motorola Razr has been rumored to go Plus for the first time in 2023. Now, a new leak might make more sense of this slightly inexplicable switch, asserting that the foldable device will launch with this new moniker in order to differentiate itself from a first-gen Lite, or possibly vanilla, variant.

The smartphone looks more or less like a Motorola foldable in new, high-quality renders posted by OnLeaks in partnership with MySmartPrice – with 1 potentially important difference between it and those linked to the “Razr+ 2023” thus far.

That would be the cover screen, tipped to take up practically the whole front panel of the Razr 22’s successor this time. The “Lite”, on the other hand, has a thin strip of secondary display that encompasses its dual rear cameras.

Accordingly, should Motorola really have this new Razr series expansion in the works, its design might be perceived as a jab at the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series, particularly as it is also currently said to launch as the “affordable” option. On that note, further details for the putative foldable are yet to be revealed, although a return to underwhelming mid-range specs might well be on the cards.
