British aparthotel brand Native Places has announced plans to grow its presence in the United Kingdom by five new properties over the next three years.

Following a very positive 2022, which exceeded revenue forecasts by +4% and saw the average length of stays increase from 1.5 to 2.5-3 days, Native Places now intends to strengthen its portfolio.

The aparthotel brand will kickstart this 2025 vision with the rebranding of the existing Kings Wardrobe Apartments property in London as Native St Paul’s in Q4 2023. The addition will bring Native Places’ London footprint to four establishments.

Elsewhere on the isle, the brand is considering planned openings in Birmingham, Cambridge, and Oxford, as well as a Welsh debut in the capital city of Cardiff.

As part of this growth, Native Places will focus on sustainability and its F&B concepts. It aims to reduce its carbon emissions and build a green brand within the extended stay sector in order to become a B-Corp listed company.

In terms of F&B, it will seek to add value to its offer by developing convenient and experiential concepts in phase with evolving client demands. Last year, Native Places’ F&B performance recorded figures 12% above budgeted revenues.

The brand’s current portfolio includes six properties across England and Scotland in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.

This is a very exciting time for Native Places as we expand operations further across the UK. The future of aparthotels worldwide, and in particular in the UK, is significant. We are seeing a pent-up demand for extended stays, and it is our mission to provide travellers with a more integrated home-from-home experience that offers the freedom and flexibility when our guests are travelling for work or hoping to relax in a larger space, during a long-term stay. We want to give our guests a story worth sharing, whether it’s about historical architecture, interesting design, or a fascinating local community – we believe the best stories are found in the people and places we meet and experience. That’s why for each Native property, we celebrate the heritage of the building and we encourage our guests to live like a local and meet the creatives at the heart of the community. […] It is imperative for aparthotel and hotel brands to adapt and engage guests with F&B concepts that offer both convenience and experience, especially in response to the rise of food ordering apps.
